REINFORCES READING AND WRITING CURRICULUM!

Readers Are Leaders is an interactive assembly that has been created to reinforce elementary grade level reading and English language arts skills.

This reading and writing assembly is 45 minutes in length and uses entertainment, illusions, humor, and fun props to review reading comprehension, phonics, and help encourage students to discover that reading can be fun. The show also incorporates routines that help students discover story building and creative writing.

The presenter of this assembly has taught creative writing classes and is a published children's book illustrator. He is also an accomplished children's entertainer who performs at hundreds of schools and libraries every year for Midwest School Shows, and at events for Radio Disney, The Detroit Zoo, and City of Chicago. These passions for reading, writing and entertaining combine to make an assembly that always keeps the attention of students - and stimulates their imagination.

Readers Are Leaders is always popular during "reading month" (March), but the messages and program content are relevant at any time during the school year.
