Building On A Dream
The REALLY COOL SCIENCE of skyscrapers, rocket ships, and electric cars!
Building on a Dream is a science show that celebrates the innovative thinkers and amazing scientific discoveries over the past century.
In the spirit of shows like "Bill Nye The Science Guy", Building on a Dream features cool science demonstrations and experiments that are hands-on and encourage audience interaction and curiosity.
Students will discover the science of bridges and structures
by witnessing a real working drawbridge model and cheering on friends as they take part in a fun audience challenge to build the tallest free-standing structures from interlocking pipes.
There is also a totally unique "electric bike" that demonstrates principles of electricity and how innovative thinking and problem solving can create new inventions.
Topics and Demonstrations in this Science Show:
- Science of Electric Cars / Electric Bike
- Innovative Thinking
- Demonstration of the Tesla Coil
- Problem Solving with Science
- Science Behind Skyscrapers & Bridges
Building on a Dream is a popular in-school assembly, but the visual props and showstopping science demonstrations also make it a great family entertainment addition to a science fair or science olympics program.
The performance runs 45 minutes and the presenter brings everything needed for the show. Due to the large scale of the show, it is recommended that the program be presented in a gym or auditorium.
